Heavily influenced by the B-boy and US Hip Hop scene in his youth, he began a fascination with vinyl collection and DMC style DJing. As the 80s Acid House scene in Manchester took him on a new path he frequented legendary clubs The Haçienda, Thunderdome and the first Sankeys where he learnt his craft on the front line.

After moving from Manchester to Mauritius in 1991, his DMC style DJing led him to a competition win, giving him a reputation as the first underground DJ on the island. After warming up for French legend Laurent Garnier in 1998 on neighbouring island Reunion, he decided that he would focus his efforts on techno production. Over two decades since he began producing music in the mid 90s, he has now prepared his debut release on London-based label Bade Records.

BinaryFunction’s expertly produced three-track "User EP" is a master class in exquisite acid techno that draws heavily upon his experiences growing up during the Acid House scene in Manchester. He kicks off the release with "ACKF1N", a breakbeat, hip-hop influenced acid banger sure to set any dance floor alight. "C0NTR0L" follows, a deeply hypnotic track with harsh industrial tones and fidgety percussion, perfect for the dark depths of 5am abandonded warehouse room. "C0NF1GERR0R", a raw and driving acid jam, as tense as it is enthralling, skilfully rounds off the EP.
