Celebrating 10 years, Steve Lawler's renowned VIVa MUSiC imprint has assembled a medley of artists for a three-part release featuring original tracks from artists connected with the label.

“I’m incredibly proud that we have got this far and the careers we have helped launch along the way, it’s been a journey of both love and pain. Ultimately being an A&R runs through me like blood and I couldn’t give it up even if I tried. I want this release to both celebrate the past 10 years and to signify where we’re going for the next 10 years. This project itself has been in the making for almost a full year and I can’t wait to finally see its release. Thank you to all the artists and their incredible art” - Steve Lawler

Recognized as one of modern house and techno’s most prolific and distinguishable brands, VIVa’s achievements within electronic music are indisputable. As a label VIVa has released music from a wide range of established and upcoming artists since its launch in October 2006, ranging from Jamie Jones, Guti, Patrick Topping, Nicole Moudaber, Tiefschwarz, Andrea Oliva and Livio & Roby to Anek, Solardo, Detlef, System2 and Denney plus many more. Now, to commemorate a decade worth of success twelve distinguished and reputable artists contribute to the label’s biggest release to date.

Part One initiates with the low-slung ‘Free At Last’ from illustrious duo Groove Armada who combine a fuzzy hook with intricate percussion and party starting vocal samples. Next up, Robsoul founder Phil Weeks serves up a mesmerizing cut featuring a female vox singing the title ‘Come On Baby’ as a medley of drums joins a subtle bassline and sporadic flecks of jazz. Aimed squarely at the dancefloor, ‘Peep Game’ from Relief and SCI+TEC producer Harvard Bass then demonstrates purring bass, shuffling hats and echoing effects before Junior Sanchez concludes the package with a thudding slice of house incorporating mesmerizing synths topped off by Parisian vocalist SoShy.

Set to feature on the forthcoming Part Two and Part Three of the release are; Andrea Oliva, Catz ‘n Dogz, Eats Everything, Emanuel Satie, Harvard Bass, MANIK, Mathew Jonson and Steve Lawler.
