In Your Head by Wheats
Wheats joins Jamie Jones's Hottrax with two brilliantly murky cuts entitled In Your Head.

Bursting onto the scene as a wide-eyed 18-year-old, Wheats received early support from Kerri Chandler who played two of his tracks in his set moments after hearing the demo. Soon after Wheats was signed to Chandler's MadTech and since then he's gone on to release on labels like Kaluki, Saved, Circus, and VIVa, with support from Calvin Harris, Nic Fanciulli, Hot Since 82, and Jamie Jones. He now joins the latter's Hottrax imprint with a pair of wonky productions that see him in fine form.
With its rumbling bassline, piercing snares, and squelchy acid licks, "You Know" is a dark and menacing cut from the word go. Meanwhile, "What You Do" is all about a rhythmic groove built from layers of intricate percussion whilst delayed stabs, snare rolls and distorted vocal samples generate a trippy aesthetic throughout.
