Previously appearing on Ben Sims' Hardgroove and Symbolism labels, Truncate, Unknown To The Unknown, and more, Elisa Bee has played at storied clubs such as Berlin's Tresor, Air in Japan, and many more since her debut release in 2012. Now readying her first vinyl EP for Posthuman's Balkan Vinyl imprint this November, the Italian DJ/producer brings three punchy original tracks backed with a stellar remix from UK producer Neville Watson.
Leading the A-side, the title cut "Sample Minds" brings pounding kicks over hypnotic bleeps, rattling hi-hats, and wonky pads for a mind-bending opener. "Acido Allegro" follows, with tripped-out filter work, crunchy drum machines, and squelching acid lines to round out the A-side.
On the flip, "Alla Prima" brings chunky bass hits, a speaker rattling four-four pattern, and synth stabs together for a pumping affair. Taking the B2 spot, Don't Be Afraid, The Nothing Special, and Clone affiliate Neville Watson delivers his Wet On Wet Mix of "Alla Prima", delivering a laidback, dubwise roller to close out the EP.
